Read and respond: Federal Safety Commissioner Review – Discussion Paper Released

The discussion paper for the independent review of the Federal Safety Commissioner led by Ms Marie Boland has been released today. The Review is an opportunity for stakeholders to have their say on the Federal Safety Commissioner, the Work Health and Safety Accreditation Scheme, and identify areas where improvements could be made.

Responses to the discussion paper can be submitted up until Monday 31 July via email at WRSubmissions@dewr.gov.au. Alternatively, a brief survey of the Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner is available. Federal Safety Commissioner David Denney said, “It would be great to see a wide range of submissions in response to the discussion paper from accredited companies and other building industry stakeholders. This is industry’s chance to help the OFSC to continuously improve”.

More information on the Independent Review, including the process and timeline, is available on the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations website.
