WHS Accreditation Scheme Snapshot Update
The Federal Safety Commissioner’s WHS Accreditation Scheme Snapshot provides up to date data analysis on a quarterly basis.
This quarter marks the Scheme passing the milestones of over 550 accredited companies and $160 billion worth of Scheme projects since the creation of the Scheme.
Commissioner David Denney has said, “I’m pleased to see the positive impact the Scheme is having on the industry, with injury rates for Scheme projects continuing to trend down over the past five years. As we close in on the end of the year I urge companies to keep WHS at the forefront of their minds so everyone can get home safe to their families during the holiday period.”
The OFSC is currently running a month-long survey about mental health in the building and construction industry. Construction companies are encouraged to share their experiences, with the option for respondents to remain anonymous. We are hoping to hear about the programs and initiatives you have implemented to support and improve the mental health of workers in the industry. The survey closes on Friday 3 December.
