Results from the 2019 Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner (OFSC) annual survey are now available.  Almost two thirds of all accredited companies responded to the survey, which is a 15% increase from the 2018 survey.

Overall the survey results were very positive, with some key results being: 

• 81 per cent of all companies indicated that workplace safety practices have improved as a result of Scheme Accreditation
• 96.1 per cent of respondents believe that the OFSC has contributed to overall safety in the building and construction industry.
• 83.9% of respondents would recommend accreditation under the Scheme to non-accredited companies.

The OFSC utilizes accredited company data and feedback received in the annual survey to ensure continual improvement in the operation and delivery of the WHS Accreditation Scheme.
